August 29, 2013

MANATEE -- Two men were robbed late Wednesday in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 11:15 p.m., the victims went to a location in the 5500 block of 25th Street West to get some gas money from a friend. Almost immediately after pulling into a parking spot, a red Toyota Camry with tinted windows and blacked out tail lights pulled in behind them and blocked them in, according to a news release.

The driver of the Camry got out of the car, approached the passenger side of the victims' car and pointed a silver-colored revolver at them, according to the report.

The robber demanded they give him everything they had. After they handed over their belongings, the robber told the victims to keep their hands where they could been seen. He walked back to his car and fired one shot into the air before fleeing, the sheriff's office said.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as having diamond studs in his ears and wearing a black shirt with a pink design on it, according to the report.
