August 25, 2013

— MANATEE — A suspect in his late 20s with brown hair, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, last seen wearing a gray ballcap, blue shirt and jean shorts, is wanted on grand theft and resisting arrest charges after running from a Home Depot at 2350 Cortez Road at 12:27 p.m. Sunday.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports the suspect stole two faucets.

Store employees told the suspect to stop as he ran out the front door of Home Depot. The suspect allegedly faced his pursuer in the parking lot, displayed a knife and warned him off before escaping around the rear of Home Depot.

He was last seen by witnesses at the old BP station where the faucets were recovered.
