Redeemer Lutheran to install new pastor

— BRADENTON — Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6311 Third Ave. W., will install Pastor Jared Olson at 4 p.m. Sept. 15.

Olson, from Chicago, graduated from Dana College in Blair, Neb. He received his master’s degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago.

Olson first served as an associate pastor at Shepherd of the Glades in Naples, then as senior pastor at Hope Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie for 13 years. “He is passionate about preaching, Bible study and youth ministry,” according to a release from Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Hobbies include American history, sports and fitness.

He is married to Anna Marie Olson, has a daughter, Chesley, and the family is expecting another child in January.

Connie Schmucker, Florida Bahama Synod assistant to the bishop, will conduct the installation and the Rev. Bill Dahlberg will give the sermon. All are invited to attend.
