BRADENTON -- An undercover prostitution operation resulted in 10 arrests for solicitation, according to Bradenton police.

The Bradenton Police Casual Clothes and Narcotics Unit conducted the sting operation Thursday throughout the city, including in the 1900 block of 13th Street West, according to a news release.

Police targeted people who were attempting to obtain the services of someone else for the purpose of prostitution or for any other lewd act.

A total of 10 men were arrested, and each was charged with a misdemeanor count solicitation. Police also confiscated five cars under a  Bradenton city ordinance.

The operation is part of city-wide law enforcement effort to prevent and stop the illegal acts of prostitution, police said.
