Bradenton Marauders, Jupiter Hammerheads game postponed

BRADENTON – Thursday night's game between the Marauders and the Jupiter Hammerheads has been postponed due to heavy rain and more precipitation forecast. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Roger Dean Stadium at 5:05 p.m. Monday. Both games will be seven innings long, with the Marauders serving as the home team for the first game. Tickets from the postponed game may be exchanged for a ticket to either remaining Bradenton Marauders regular season home game in 2013 at the McKechnie Field ticket office. The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-game days from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and closed on weekend non-game days. On Monday-Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 1 p.m. and closes at the conclusion of the game. On Sunday game days and special games with 10 a.m. start times, the ticket office opens two hours prior to the game. The Marauders next play at home on Thursday, Aug. 29. Bradenton will resume a suspended game against the Fort Myers Miracle at 5 p.m., with a seven inning game to follow. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. The game is Bradenton’s Salute to Boy Bands. Chris Kirkpatrick, a founding member of legendary pop band ‘N Sync, will visit McKechnie Field. Kirkpatrick will have a private meet and greet with Thirsty Thursday Club Members from 5:45 p.m.-6:15 p.m. in the Left Field Party Deck. He will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the start of the second game, and remain on site signing autographs and meeting fans until 8:45 p.m. After the second game, there will be boy band karaoke at the Kona Bar Built by NDC Construction.
