Weather alert: Showers, storms possible Wednesday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are again possible Wednesday afternoon in Bradenton.

The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with a high near 91 -- and heat index values as high as 97. The chance of rain is 50 percent, with scattered showers and storms most likely after 2 p.m., according to the Weather Service.

Wednesday night, skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 75. The chance of rain drops to 30 percent, mainly before midnight.
