Where are they now?

Lastings Milledge

The former first round draft pick of the New York Mets is still playing professional baseball. The 28-year-old is in Japan, playing for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. His last major league season came in 2011, when Milledge played two games for the Chicago White Sox -- his fourth MLB franchise in six seasons. Milledge is hitting .251 with 16 home runs, 49 runs batted in and 56 runs scored in 96 games for the Swallows.

Ryan Kennedy

After partnering with Larry Cobb to form a strong middle infield, Kennedy continued racking up accolades with two Division II national titles at the University of Tampa and a Pioneer League championship with the Orem Owlz in 2007 during his pro career in the Anaheim Angels organization. Now Kennedy is the head coach for Lakewood Ranch's baseball team and works in the office at his high school alma mater.

Brent Solich

The former first-team all-state pitcher that saved Lakewood Ranch's state championship game went to Manatee Community College and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, before a pro career ended in the independent leagues. Currently, he's the pitching coach for the Mustangs and is getting ready to begin a new job at Sarasota Memorial's Intensive Care Unit.
