Blake parking lot crash turns into odd hit-and-run

August 18, 2013

— A 61-year-old Bradenton woman reportedly crashed her car into another one parked in the Blake Medical Center parking lot at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, but the parked car ended up being a hit-and-run vehicle.

The stricken car was moved without anyone alerting authorities, which constitutes a hit-and-run, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The woman who initiated the crash hit the left rear of a newer model small, white Ford pickup truck with her 2002 GMC Sierra as she was trying to park at Blake, 2020 59th St. W., according to the report.

As the woman was moving her GMC out of the way, the Ford reportedly left the lot.

Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any knowledge as to the identity and or location of the hit-and-run vehicle or driver is asked to contact FHP at 239-938-1800.
