PALMETTO -- A 21-year-old Palmetto woman has been charged with shooting a male friend with a pink stun gun and taking his wallet after he picked her up in a limo, according to the Palmetto Police Department.

Monica Mary Mehanny, who lists her address as the 1000 block of Rivera Dunes Way in Palmetto, was charged with armed robbery in the incident, which occurred at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, a report states.

Although the report does not reveal any possible motives for Mehanny actions, it does reveal that alcohol was involved.

Mehanny stun-gunned the victim with what police described as a "pink Terminator high voltage Taser" before taking his wallet, which contained $523 cash, credit cards and other personal items.

She also took the victim's iPhone, according to the report.

Palmetto police later discovered the stun gun and five credit cards with the victim's name on them in Mehanny's bra, the report states.

After her arrest, Mehanny told police that her foot got run over by the limo the victim picked her up in. A nurse at the Manatee County jail looked at her foot, the report states.

Mehanny was released from the Manatee County jail on Thursday after posting $22,000 in bonds but not before taking one of the most "smiley" mug shot photos in the history of the jail.
