Victoria Justice plays after Rays in St. Petersburg

August 15, 2013

Victoria Justice is only 20 years old, but she's already a show biz veteran. She starred in "Victorious" and "Zoey 101" on Nickolodeon, she and has a bunch of other television and movie credits under her belt.

She'll be performing in concert at Tropicana Field on Sunday in the final installment of the Tampa Bay Rays' Summer Concert Series. It's part of her nationwide "Here's 2 Us" tour.

If you're older than, say, Victoria Justice, you may never have seen her very youth-oriented TV shows, nor her starring role in the 2012 feature film "Fun Size."

But you may have heard her music, though, because it's been everywhere. The soundtrack album of the first season of "Victorious," (including the theme song, "Make It Shine," which Justice sang) was a huge hit, as was her 2010 single "Freak the Freak Out." Other hit songs from Justice include "Beggin' on Your Knees" and "Best Friend's Brother."

But it doesn't matter much if the grown-ups don't know Victoria Justice or her music. This concert, unlike previous entries in the series from the likes of KC and the Sunshine Band, is aimed squarely at the youngsters in the crowd, especially the girls. They most certainly know Victoria Justice.

Details: 1:40 p.m. game time, Aug. 18, Tropicana Field, 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg. Tickets: $20.50-$99.50; $11 extra for field access during the concert. Information. 727-825-3250, www.tampabay.rays.mlb.com.
