Manatee school's early release schedule set

August 14, 2013

MANATEE COUNTY -- Manatee County students will get out early one day each month during the school year.

The school day will be shortened for students so that the Deputy Superintendent of Instructional Services and the Executive Directors of Elementary, Middle and High Schools can meet with students to go over data analysis for school and classroom performance and teachers can participate in professional learning activities.

Early release will take place on the first Wednesday of the month, with the exception of January and April. The dates are Sept. 4, Nov. 6, Dec. 4, Feb. 5, March 5 and May 7.

On those days elementary students will be released at 1:15 p.m.; middle school students will be released at 2:10 p.m.; and high school students will be released at 12:30 p.m.
