Vin's People: Yankees' 'lightning Rod' dines on AMI

August 2, 2013

Guess who dropped in for dinner the other night at Sean Murphy's Beach Bistro?

Alex Rodriguez is who.

The New York Yankee third baseman may not be playing baseball again for awhile, you may have heard recently, but he was in a celebratory mood at the swanky Holmes Beach restaurant.

A-Rod's 38th birthday was July 27.

He was there with a large group of family and friends and word is he's a good tipper, too.

"Everybody who worked their party seemed pretty happy," Murphy said.

• That ol' rascal Dewey Eason is 75 years young.

"I've been taking care of daddy for nine years and he took care of me for 18," Judy said. "I told him when the next nine years are up, he's got to go out, get a job and pay me rent."

• Dr. Gabe Delgado has joined Bradenton Cardiology Center.
