— A 37-year-old Bradenton man was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office believes Timothy Parker grabbed a female acquaintance by the throat and bit the victim’s right forearm, leaving teeth marks that caused bleeding on the forearm.

The incident occurred at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of 54th Avenue Drive West, according to a sheriff’s office arrest report.

The victim had accused Parker of having her sister’s phone number in his phone. At first the victim cooperated with deputies but she changed her mind after a phone call from Parker, deputies reported.

After the conversation, she did not want to file an affidavit and refused to have pictures taken of her injuries, the report indicates. Parker was in the Manatee County jail Thursday in lieu of $500 bond, according to the sheriff’s office website.
