Jenn McAlister will be responsible for managing early stage project planning and development and resource allocation for Willis A. Smith Construction. McAlister also will focus on building relationships with new clients and attending to existing clients. A graduate of the University of Florida's building construction program, McAlister is an active participant in community service and has contributed numerous service hours in leadership to organizations such as Goodwill Industries, U.S. Green Building Council, Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Sarasota Architectural Foundation and others.

Mary A. Brown, of Kerkering, Barberio & Co., Certified Public Accountants, has passed the certified professional medical auditor exam.

Elizabeth Bockheim, State College of Florida assistant professor, became a nationally credentialed neonatal intensive care nurse. Diane Taylor, SCF assistant professor, met the requirements to maintain the maternal newborn nurse credential. They earned their credentials by meeting educational and practice requirements and taking a rigorous examination that covers specialty areas.

Rebecca Ann Samler, licensed real estate broker, has founded and opened Coastline West Realty of Florida. Samler became a licensee in 1994, and has worked full time in the field since that time. She has spent the past 13 years with a local RE/MAX franchise, where she earned membership in the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. Samler is also an eight-time recipient of the Sarasota Magazine Five Star "Best in Client Satisfaction" Professional Award.

The law firm of Fergeson, Skipper, Shaw, Keyser, Baron & Tirabassi, P.A., announces that J. Allison Archbold has received the AV Preeminent Rating from the attorney rating site Martindale-Hubbell. Archbold began practicing law in 1997 and joined the firm in 2007. As a board-certified wills, trusts and estates lawyer, she handles all aspects of the analysis and planning for the conservation and disposition of estates, including tax-related matters and probate litigation. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1997 and her LL.M. in Estate Planning in 2007.
