Sarasota man injured after rolling vehicle on U.S. 301

— A 28-year-old Sarasota man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle Manatee County rollover accident at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 301 and Tallevast Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Juan Hernandez was driving a 1995 Ford Explorer east on Tallevast Road and made a left turn onto U.S. 301.

According to a witness, the Explorer began to rotate in the roadway before overturning on its right side in the northbound lanes of U.S. 301.

Hernandez was removed by EMS and transported to Blake Medical Center, according to the report.

Hernandez was cited for not having a driver’s license and for careless driving.
