MANATEE -- Detectives believe the same gunman robbed two 7-Eleven stores in Bradenton early Friday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
At 2:42 a.m., a man entered the store at 2603 53rd Ave. W., pointed a sawed off shotgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled west from the store on foot, according to a news release.
At 3:15 a.m., the gunman entered the 7-Eleven store at 5904 42nd Ave. W., "and committed the exact same crime," the report states.
Neither clerk was injured.
The suspect was described as standing 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet, 1 inch tall, and wearing all black clothing.
