Weather alert: Hot, drier conditions in Bradenton on Monday

MANATEE -- The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 91 -- and heat index values as high as 99 -- in Bradenton on Monday.

Light and variable winds will become west-southwesterly at 9 to 14 mph in the morning.

There is a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m., according to the Weather Service.

Monday night, skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 74.
