Nik Wallenda waving to the crowds among $1 million boats and children riding unicycles.
It was a colorful, noisy extravaganza of the senses as the annual Festival of Boats Parade jangled down Sarasota's Main Street.
Inspired by the hoopla, a group of small children on the sidewalk tried out their tumbling skills -- with some success.
And behind a line of spectators, two small girls holding hands giggled as they leapt into a huge puddle.
As the last few floats made their way past, the street cleared and there was one more entertaining sight:
Kira, a bright-eyed dog bedecked in beads, tentatively licked a lollipop.
Can't beat that.
Until next time.
