Bradenton man charged with hitting a homeless woman

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was arrested after an argument with a 53-year-old homeless woman turned physical, according to the Manatee Sheriff's Office.

Andrew J. Neubert, 35, was arrestede at 7:25 p.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of 1st St. W. in Bradenton, according to a news release.

Neubert and the homeless woman were arguing Saturday when he pulled out stick which had screws protruding on one end and hit the homeless woman on the head.

The homeless woman suffered a four inch cut on her head and was sent to the local hospital for treatment.

Neubert is charged with aggravated battery.
