MANATEE -- A 30-year-old Bradenton man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being shot wounded in a drive-by shooting, according to the Manatee Sheriff's Office.

Christopher Strong was sitting with another man in the driveway of a residence in the 2100 block of 56th Ave. E. in Bradenton shortly after midnight Saturday when shots were fired at them, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's report.

The men jumped over a fence and escaped into a neighbor's back yard after a silver vehicle drove by and at least one person inside the vehicle shot at them. Someone jumped out of the car and continued shooting at the fence after the men escaped.

The suspects then drove off. The victims left the area and were later located in the 2400 block of State Road 70 East.

Blood and shell casings were found at the residence where the men had been sitting and at least bullet entered the garage. Another bullet entered the fence. Bullet holes were also found in a Chevy SUV in the driveway.

Neither victim cooperated with deputies who were investigating the shooting. Cedrick Presha was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. Strong was an outstanding warrant out of Sarasota County for a violation of probation.

While at the sheriff's office district office, deputies found that Strong had a bullet wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment before being taken to Manatee County Jail.
