Cash, jewels, computers stolen in Bradenton burglary

MANATEE -- About $25,000 in jewelry was stolen during a break-in at a Bradenton residence Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Sometime between 1 p.m. and 8:32 p.m., someone broke into a house in the 3100 block of 37th Avenue West through a rear window, ransacked the interior and stole two laptop computers, $400 in cash and about $25,000 in jewelry, according to a news release.

The burglar or burglars then fled.
