Florida and the federal government each offers a free Do Not Call registry. Consumers should sign up for each separately.

To file a complaint:

Call 1-800-HELP-FLA or visit www.800HelpFla.com and include:

Phone number business called from

Time called

Name of business

Name of representative

What is being sold or solicited

Certain calls are exempt from the Do Not Call List include from:

• A newspaper publisher

• Debt collection

• Real estate agent responding to yard sign or ad

• An establishment you've done business with in last 18 months

• Phone calls returning an inquiry by a consumer
