Two charged with stealing air compressor from Bradenton business

— A man and woman were arrested and charged with breaking into a semi-trailer and stealing an air compressor, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Adkins, 52, and Kiana Bell, 26, have been charged with burglary and grand theft, according to a news release.

The two burglars entered an enclosed semi-trailer belonging to USA Fence Corp. at 1100 44th Ave. E. in Bradenton at 7:20 a.m. Saturday and took an air compressor valued at $300.

They were confronted by two witnesses and then fled leaving behind the air compressor.

Deputies arrived and set up a perimeter. A K-9 was used to track Adkins and Bell to a residence on the 1200 block of 44th Ave. E, The two suspects matching the description were located and detained. Witnesses then positively identified them and both were arrested and taken to Manatee County Jail.

The stolen air compressor was returned to USA Fence.
