Bradenton police arrest suspect in grocery store burglary

BRADENTON -- Plainclothes officers located and arrested a suspect in the burglary of a Bradenton grocery store earlier this week, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Nicholas Langston was arrested late Thursday.

Investigators identified Langston as a suspect in the burglary at J's Meat Market, 420 Martin Luther King Jr. W., after viewing surveillance video shot by security cameras on nearby residences, according to a report.

During the break-in, a burglar or burglars stole cigarettes and coins, police said.

Langston was arrested and charged with burglary after officers with the Bradenton Police Department's Casual Clothes Unit doing surveillance spotted Langston in the 200 block of 11th Avenue East, according to the report.

Langston also faces charges of theft and criminal mischief. He was being held at the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $3,500.
