Weather alert: Showers, storms possible Friday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in Bradenton throughout Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 88 and southwesterly winds of 6 to 11 mph.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain, mainly after 8 a.m., according to the Weather Service.

Friday night, the chance of scattered showers and storms drops to 30 percent. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and the expected low is around 75, according to the Weather Service.
