LAKEWOOD RANCH -- John Neal Homes sold 29 homes in the first six months of 2013, more than 50 percent more than the same period in 2012, in which the Lakewood Ranch-based custom new-home builder sold 17 homes.

"In all of 2012, we sold close to $30 million in total sales revenue and already this year we are close to $22 million," said Michael Rego, vice president of building for John Neal Homes, in a press release Tuesday. "We are experiencing tremendous growth in the luxury custom home market."

John Neal Homes has increased its staff to 21 employees.
