U.S. must let Middle East evolve into governments

July 10, 2013

It seems to me that the citizens and governments of Middle Eastern countries are in the process of evolving.

As they are aided by the education afforded by the Internet's dissemination of information, the people's desire for self-government and freedom will evolve.

History shows us that ultimately it will be the will of the people that will bring to the Middle East the governments that reflect the will of their people.

This evolution in government may in many cases be bloody, but when in history has revolution not been bloody?

For the U.S. to interfere in this process of a people's evolution is a mistake. The urge to improve their government and their opportunity for freedom must originate in the people themselves.

If we interfere, we will screw things up, and they will hate us.
