Man shot in Palmetto

PALMETTO -- Palmetto police are investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old man early Monday.

Just after midnight, police responded to the 300 block of 14th Street West, where they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release.

The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators believe the victim was shot by one of at least two occupants of a white vehicle, possibly a Ford Aerostar or a similar small van, according to the report.
