Herald staff reportJuly 7, 2013

— Two Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies worked in tandem to subdue a wanted suspect in an incident at 7:34 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of 13th Avenue West, Bradenton.

Quental Harris, 29, no known address, was out on a $5,000 bond when he was spotted on the street by a deputy. He was taken in to face an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on an obstruction of justice charge and later charged with resisting arrest.

No injuries to the defendant or the deputies were involved although the suspect allegedly wrestled with the officers before being subdued. Harris was taken to Manatee County jail.
