July 3, 2013

MANATEE -- A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with child abuse after she got into a fight with two teenagers she has custody of, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Tiffiany Gray and a 14-year-old girl were arguing at a residence in the 1700 block of 78th Drive East, Bradenton, when Gray threw the teen to the ground and repeatedly punched her in the back, according to a news release.

When the girl tried to leave, Gray pulled her back inside by the hair, according to the report.

A 17-year-old girl intervened, and a fight ensued between her and Gray, deputies said.

By the time deputies arrived, the fighting was stopped.

Gray was arrested, and was being held without bond at the Manatee County jail on two counts of child abuse.
