July 3, 2013

MANATEE -- Three masked gunmen early Wednesday broke into a Bradenton apartment and robbed the people inside, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 12:24 a.m., the assailants kicked in the front door of a unit of the Royal Palm Terrace Apartments, in the 2600 block of 49th Drive East.

While one of the gunmen stayed with a woman in the living room, the other two went into the bedroom where a couple was lying in bed with a baby, according to a news release.

"Give me all you got," one of the gunmen told the couple. The man went to his wallet and handed over an undetermined amount of cash, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspects then fled.

No one was injured.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing, including masks or bandanas and gloves. They stood between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall and had thin builds. Two of their guns were black, one was silver, according to the sheriff's office.
