Woman sexually battered after walking late on Bradenton street

BRADENTON -- A 22-year-old woman was sexually battered late Wednesday by a man who left the scene on a bicycle, police reported Thursday.

The victim was walking south on 14th Street Court West at 11:20 p.m. when a bicyclist approached her. The man took her to a a wooden fence line in the 900 block and sexually battered her, according to the police report. The suspect left the area on the bike, and the victim walked to the 7-Eleven at 902 14th St. W.

The victim was taken to the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner center, and Bradenton detectives are looking for a person of interest, the report stated.
