Another round of storms on tap for Thursday

June 27, 2013

Tampa Bay area residents may be in store for another round of heavy storms Thursday -- possibly earlier today. And it's going to be hot in Manatee County, with the "real feel" of that 90-degree high being 105.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, conditions will be partly sunny Thursday with scattered storms in the area.

"We may get some showers in the morning hours today," Marquez said. "Temperatures will climb into the 90s with scattered thunderstorms likely."

Rain chances are 40 percent Thursday and Friday.

Today's weather comes on the heels of Wednesday's heavy storms in what has been an active week of weather.

The past few days have included tornadoes, funnel clouds, waterspouts, hail, lightning and heavy rain.
