Lylis Carriere has joined SouthTech, an IT services firm, as service coordinator. Carriere has a background in information technology, and has worked in various roles from help desk, network administration andnetwork/communication technician primarily responsible for coordinating, managing and monitoring communications (voice and data). She will monitor and manage service processes for SouthTech clients.

Derryl Edwards recently received a 50th year inKiwanis award. He also has had 50 years of perfect attendance. He got involved in Kiwanis in Illinois. Kiwanis Clubs' primary functionis to help children of theworld. They sponsor Builders Club in grade schools, Key Clubs in high schools and Circle K in colleges. Edwards is co-owner of Scholfield Realty with his wife, Barbara.
