Manatee County Animal Services in Palmetto is an exceptionally great place to find your next pet.

While looking for a dog on April 26, we had the pleasure of meeting Carol, a volunteer dog walker. Picking one dog out of so many became a daunting task, and, at our request, Carol assisted us.

What a privilege it was in having found someone who cared enough about our adoption to patiently stand by while we searched for the right dog. As an additional bonus, Carol knew many dogs and their personality traits.

Soon we found just the right dog, Uncle Buck, a.k.a. Onslow. He is sweet, even tempered, and eager to please. We rang the bell after adopting, and home we went.

Uncle Buck is happy, and so are we, along with Lucy, our shepherd/lab mix, and Oscar, our Boston terrier/chihuahua mix.

Uncle Buck was a part of the pit bull adoption program.

Please consider all dogs when you are ready to adopts, and visit this wonderful place.
