Kinnan classroom visit shows value of teachers

June 17, 2013

My grandson Meikhi Rawls attends Kinnan Elementary School. I attended his second-grade class awards day, and I really enjoyed the event.

His teacher, Ms. Peters, has done a great job. She showed videos of the class and things they did through the school year. Each child earned an award.

Some of the parents were already in the classroom when her class came in from P.E. Ms. Peters immediately introduced herself to those of us who didn't know her.

Just sitting there in her class I noticed that the students seem to enjoy her as well as respect her. I saw a great change in my grandson's behavior this year.

My hat's off to Ms. Peters and her volunteers for that day. Teachers play a great part in our children's lives.
