Sales-tax referendum a deceptive shell game

June 16, 2013

Now we know who is really hiding behind the indigent sales tax -- huge dollars from special interest groups, funneled through the local hospitals.

The county commission asked them to stop using those misleading ads. They won't -- because it is all about profit.

Big business welfare is not healthy for small businesses or Manatee County. This is nothing but a deceptive tax shell game. Don't expect your property taxes to go down. There is nothing about this on the ballot.

Don't fall for the expensive and misleading spin and ads. Vote against the sales tax increase on June 18.
