Weather alert: A hot and sunny Friday for Bradenton

MANATEE -- Friday should be hot, dry and a little breezy in Bradenton.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 90 and westerly winds of 8 to 16 mph. Wind gusts could hit 22 mph.

Friday night, forecasters are calling for partly cloudy skies, with a low around 73, with winds of 6 to 11 mph continuing to blow in from the west, according to the Weather Service.

There is no listed chance of rain.

Forecasts for Saturday and Sunday are similar, although there is slight chance of showers and thunderstorms both days, according to the forecast.
