Man, 18, arrested after stabbing at Bradenton apartment complex

MANATEE -- An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing Wednesday afternoon at a Bradenton apartment complex, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at Gates of Bradenton Apartments, 4515 26th St. W.

The victim, a 21-year-old man had been stabbed after a confrontation involving several people. He was taken to a local hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.

Daniel Sailor was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, according to the sheriff's office. He was being held at the Manatee County jail on $7,500 bond.

"All of the involved parties are acquaintances who live at the complex," the sheriff's office said.

The investigation is continuing.
