Savor Sarasota Restaurant Weeks: various locations, Sarasota

Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week is ongoing through June 14. This culinary celebration spotlights special-priced lunch and dinner menus at more than 37 participating restaurants, from fine dining to casual beach cafes and eclectic urban eateries. Guests can enjoy $29 pre-fixe dinner menus from the destination's acclaimed restaurants. Three-course lunch menus are also offered for $15. "Art after 5": John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota

"Live from downtown, it's Friday Night": Palm Avenue Main and First streets, Sarasota

"Live from downtown, it's Friday Night" will be 6-9 p.m. June 7 and every first Friday of the month featuring live performances by Sarasota's premier entertainers and performing arts organizations and enjoy shopping at a unique mix of boutiques, galleries and salons. Music on Main: Main Street, Lakewood Ranch

Main Street at Lakewood Ranch will host a Music on Main concert 6-9 p.m. June 7 featuring live music by The Distractions. Beer, wine and food sales benefit The Players. Bring chairs and blankets. The South Florida Museum will host the Film Fridays Series "They Came From Outer Space," featuring the history of space invaders on film and includes the following titles: "Contact" June 7, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" June 14, "District 9" June 21, and "Attack the Block" June 28. 12th annual St. Armands Circle Craft Festival: St. Armands Circle, Lido Key, Sarasota

The 12th annual St. Armands Circle Craft Festival will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 8-9 featuring an eclectic mix of unique, hand crafted work by the nation's top crafters, with a full spectrum of craft art media, including folk art, pottery, personalized gifts, handmade clothing, basket weaving, beaded utensils, candles, cork assemblage, fabric design, fiber quilts, fused was and glass, hair accessories, handbags and accessories, handmade cards, leather, mosaic, wood, painted wood, plaster craft, stained glass and much more.
