Lumineers announce Tampa show Oct. 19

Grammy-nominated folk-rock band the Lumineers have just announced that they're coming to Tampa Bay on their upcoming North American tour.

The show's set for Saturday, Oct. 19 at the USF Sun Dome.

The Denver-based Lumineers released their self-titled first album in April 2012. It kept gaining momentum until at peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts in January. Their performance on the Grammy Awards telecast in February helped build their popularity, as did appearances on all the major late-night shows. (Their TV appearances have almost always included their ubiquitous hit song, "Ho Hey").

The Lumineers were nominated for Grammy Awards for best new artist, and their debut album was nominated for best Americana album.

Tickets for the Tampa show are $25, $35, $39.50 and $45. They go on sale at 10 a.m. June 7 at 10 am. Opening acts include indie rock band Dr. Dog and Denver folk-rocker Nathaniel Rateliff.
