Palmetto PD searching for 7-11 robbery suspects

— Police are searching for two suspects in the armed robbery of a convenience store at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Palmetto Police Department.

Two armed men robbed the 7-11 store at 2601 Eighth Ave. W.. escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first robber was described as a male wearing long black pants and a black long-sleeve shirt. He was holding a handgun and a green duffle bag used to carry the stolen money.

The second robber was described as a male wearing blue jeans, long-sleeve blue shirt, lavender gloves and a white T-shirt partially covering his face. He was armed with a rifle or a shotgun.

The suspects fled eastbound across the parking lot and toward Eighth Avenue West. No shots or injuries were reported.
