St. Lucie Mets blank Bradenton Marauders 1-0

May 26, 2013

The Marauders (20-29) dropped a 1-0 game to the Mets (27-20) on Saturday night at Tradition Field. Eliecer Navarro (L, 0-9) pitch six and 2/3 innings, allowing only one run. Navarro has been the loser in two 1-0 games and three one-run games this month. Angel Cuan (W, 5-1) was masterful against the Marauders for the fourth time this season. Cuan matched the seven scoreless innings he tosses against Bradenton a week ago, surrendering just two singles and striking out nine. Jeurys Familia and Scott Atchison (Save, 1) each pitched one inning on MLB Rehab assignments. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Marauders, who were shut out for the sixth time this season and third time in eight days. The loss dropped Bradenton to 8-11 in 19 one-run games in 2013
