Weather alert: Holiday weekend in Bradenton will be sunny, hot and windy

May 24, 2013

MANATEE -- Friday will be sunny, hot and windy in Bradenton -- just like the entire Memorial Day weekend that follows.

The National Weather Service says skies will be sunny, with a high near 86 and northwesterly winds of 5 to 13 mph. Friday night will see a low around 69, with partly cloudy skies and north-northeasterly winds around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Similar conditions are expected throughout the three-day holiday weekend: sunny skies, highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and sometimes gusty winds.

There is no chance of rain in the forecast through Monday night, according to the Weather Service.
