Bradenton Marauders fall 2-1 to Tampa Yankees

BRADENTON -- Bradenton fell to Tampa 2-1 on Monday before 765 fans at McKechnie Field in the 18th one-run contest for the Marauders this season.

Eliecer Navarro (0-8) turned in another quality start for Bradenton, working six innings with six strikeouts. The Marauders have scored three runs or less in eight of Navarro’s nine appearances this season.

Shane Greene (4-3) logged six strong innings in his start for Tampa. Greene allowed an unearned in the fourth inning when Gregory Polanco singled, moved to second on a passed ball and scored when Dan Gamache singled.

Zac Fuesser pitched three scoreless innings in relief of Navarro. Alen Hanson went 2-for-4 at the plate, including a double, for Bradenton.
