MANATEE -- A 41-year-old Bradenton woman has been charged with domestic battery against a person age 65-years-old or older.

Lisa Renee Soward, who lists her address as the 3500 block of 32nd Street West, is alleged to have grabbed the arms of a 65-year-old family member and squeezed so hard it caused an abrasion and bruise to form on the victim's left arm, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

The report indicates that the domestic disturbance began because Soward was recently sentenced to 10 days in jail on a driving while under the influence charge.

The victim told deputies that after confronting Soward about her drinking Soward got physical, the report states.

Soward was arrested Friday and posted a $2,500 bond Sunday to secure her release from the Manatee County jail, according to the sheriff's office website.
