FHP DUI 'wolfpack' to cover Manatee County

May 15, 2013

— The Florida Highway Patrol will conduct a DUI Wolfpack detail in Manatee County from 7 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday.

The FHP detail removes impaired drivers from the roadways to enhance the safety of the motoring public. Troopers conducting the detail will be mobile while monitoring traffic in an effort to maximize effectiveness in removing impaired drivers from Manatee County roads.

Florida law considers a driver with .08 or higher blood alcohol content to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of Florida law.

Dial 347 from any cell phone to report an aggressive driver or request roadside assistance.
