32 lawyers vie for 12th Circuit judgeship

Thirty-two applicants have applied for consideration to fill the 12th Circuit Court judgeship vacancy.

Maryann Grgic, community and governmental relations director, reported Monday the following individuals have applied with the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission under Chairman Pat Neal to fill the vacancy created by Judge Rick DeFuria's retirement.

Applicants include: Paula Adams, Deborah Ann Bailey, Dawn Marie Buchanan-Bates, Susan Bodden, Kimberly Carlton Bonner, Arthur Brown, Hunter Carroll, Teresa Kaklis Dees, Heather Doyle, Catherine Gemma, Robert Hoffman, Brian Iten, Arthur Jackman Jr., Henry Lee, Steven Leskovich, Jerome Levin and

Liane McCurry, Jason Miller, Andrea Watt McHugh, Mark Nelson, Geoffrey Nichols, Paul Olah Jr., Damian Michael Ozark, Richard Barton Ray, Thomas Daniel Shults, Isabel Cissy Boza Skipper, Randolph Smith, Marc Jeremy Soss, Frank Edward Strelec, William Michael Thurmond, Rebecca Wilson and Stephen Mathew Whyte.

The Commission has until Monday, June 3, to submit names to Gov. Rick Scott for consideration of appointment to the 12th Judicial Circuit Court.
