Realtor Shannon Carrasco has joined RE/MAX Alliance Group as a team member with Bob Anderson in the Siesta Key office. Carrasco brings strong interpersonal skills and the ability to listen to clients' needs. Prior to entering the real estate field, she was the business manager for an international utility equipment dealership. She also co-owns a photography business with her husband.

Architect Michael Carlson, AIA, LEED AP, a leading green building design professional, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Sarasota Housing Authority. Since being appointed to the board by the mayor of Sarasota in 2010, Michael has served as the chairman of the development committee and vice-chair of the board. Carlson has been practicing architecture in Sarasota since 1986, and his firm, Carlson Studio Architecture, is a leader in green building design in Florida.

Donald M. Jankowski, a financial adviser at Gateway Bank, 6204 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, was recently named a member of the 2013 Raymond James Financial Services Executive Council. Jankowski, who joined Raymond James in 2010, has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry.

P. Arthur Huprich has joined Day Hagan Asset Management as chief market technician and portfolio manager. Huprich was formerly the chief market technician for Raymond James & Associates. He has been an analyst in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years and is one of approximately 1,344 active chartered market technicians worldwide. Huprich graduated from Lynchburg College in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and political science.

Realtor Terri Kotaska has joined the Sarasota office of RE/MAX Alliance Group as a team member with Broker-Associate Dennis Kotaska. Terri Kotaska has a background as a sales and marketing executive for new homes and condominiums in Chicago and Florida, generating $19.2 million to $30 million in individual sales annually. Her achievements earned her four Diamond Awards, the highest sales award presented by the Chicago Home Builders Association. During her 26-year career, she advanced to director of sales for a regional Chicago area home builder. As director of sales for the Central and Southwest Florida Region for a multi-state real estate developer, she was responsible for $101.8 million in annual sales volume for three communities.

Tamara Rogers has been appointed volunteer coordinator for Change A Life Charity Thrift Store. Her responsibilities will include the recruitment, placement and training of new volunteers. Rogers runs her own company, "Turn On Your Success."

Lalith Jayasinghe has been named global director of applications engineering and technical customer support for Evolucia Inc. Jayasinghe holds a Ph.D in experimental solid state physics and an M.S. in electrical engineering, and brings 12 years of research and product applications experience to Evolucia Inc. He will be responsible for global product data and testing, field and application engineering and technical customer service. Jayasinghe will report to Paul Montesino, global vice president of marketing and general manager of the led drivers, controls and accessories division.
