Update: Lake City Columbia closes it out, knocks out Lakewood Ranch 7-1 in state semifinal.

Update: Caleb McCauley hits 3 run double; Columbia leads 7-1 after 4 1/2 innings.

Update: Ranch gets two runners on in fourth but Jackie Schoff strikes out swinging to end inning; still 3-1.

Update: Columbia doesn't score in third. Nice pickoff throw by catcher Tallie Sharp.

Update: Ranch can't score in 2nd. Jackie Schoff has line drive single that shows why she is D-1 prospect.

Update: Lakewood Ranch gets run in bottom of first on two Columbia errors and RBI bloop single by Amber Wimmer. Both teams defenses looking shaky

Update: Lake City Columbia takes 3-0 lead over Lakewood Ranch after a half inning. A walk, two singles and two errors by the Mustangs aided the rally.

Lakewood Ranch looks confident in warmups though head coach Tony Cummins showing signs of worry here in class 6A state softball semifinal at Vero Beach; reports of bad weather circulating this could be a long day.
